'Line + Relation,' an exhibition featuring the artwork of Charlie Thornton '05, a recent graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design’s architecture program, and his father, John Thornton, is now on display in the Gelb Gallery in George Washington Hall on Chapel Avenue on the Phillips Academy campus. This exhibition is free, open to the public, and may be viewed until November 5 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

John Thornton taught studio art for many years at the Massachusetts College of Art and has been creating abstract and geometric art for more than 40 years. This exhibition highlights the reciprocal relationship between the duo’s work over an extended period of time. Of particular focus is their use of both geometric and expressive line to evoke feeling and create depth on a two-dimensional plane."
